What clients usually want to know.
One-time or with maintenance: which suits you?
With maintenance you pay a lower amount up front and then a fixed amount per month. We take care of hosting, back-ups, updates and the changes you send us.
Without maintenance you pay a bit more, once, and nothing per month after that. That amount covers the work we would normally spread over the months: extra time for the hand-over, transferring all accounts to you and a manual. Do the maths and you are cheaper off than with maintenance after about six months.
What you then take care of yourself: hosting, updates and changes are no longer included after delivery. For the first 3 months we fix mistakes in our work free of charge. After that you can buy changes and help separately.
A Custom package is only available with maintenance.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, if you choose the one-time option without maintenance. You then pay in 2 instalments at no extra cost:
- 50% before the project starts
- 50% before we hand over the fully working website
Each instalment comes on its own invoice. The first instalment is for taking on the project and the preparatory work, such as the mood board; we start as soon as it is paid. You pay the last one before we hand over the fully functional website, with the domain name and hosting in your name.
Spreading is only possible without maintenance. With maintenance you pay the one-time amount in one go and monthly after that.
Is the domain name included in the price?
Yes. Hosting, domain name and the SSL certificate are included in the monthly fee. If you already have a domain name, we move it over free of charge. The name stays registered in your own details.
What if I want to stop?
Maintenance can be cancelled monthly. Your website and domain name are and remain yours, so you can simply take them to another party. We even help with the move.
Why do I pay both a one-time and a monthly amount?
The one-time amount is for the design and build. The monthly fee covers hosting, updates, back-ups, security and the changes you send us. A site that isn't maintained becomes a risk within a year, so we don't sell that separately.
How long before my site goes live?
For a Start or Growth package we plan three to five weeks on average, counted from the moment we have your texts and photos. That's usually what sets the pace.
What does an extra change cost?
Start includes one change per month, Growth includes two. Need more? We charge an hourly rate agreed with you in advance. You always get an estimate first, never a surprise afterwards.
